This page explains, in plain English, how Amorine works under the hood, what AI is and isn't capable of in this app, and where to turn if you need real-world help.

1. What Amorine actually is

Amorine is an AI dating sim. You chat with fictional AI characters who have personalities, backstories, and vibe tags. Every reply you receive is generated fresh by an AI model — there is no real person on the other end.

Think of it like a video game with conversational characters, not a messaging app where humans are typing back to you.

2. How the characters work

Each character has:

• A personality (warm, sarcastic, anxious, confident, etc.) defined when we built the character
• A backstory that shapes their reference points, opinions, and emotional vocabulary
• Vibe tags that signal what kind of energy they bring (thoughtful, playful, intense, calm)
• Persistent memory of your previous conversations — so they remember you said you like jazz, that your sister visited last week, that you had a bad day on Tuesday

When you send a message, an AI model generates the character's reply by considering their personality, your conversation history, and the new message. The reply is produced in real time and is unique to that conversation.

3. What "AI-generated" means

Every AI reply is fresh output from a language model. The character does not have a brain, opinions, feelings, or memory in any biological sense. What looks like "memory" is your conversation history being passed back to the AI model on each turn so it can generate a contextually appropriate reply.

The AI model itself was trained by an external provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) on a large corpus of public text. We do not train custom models. We send your conversations to these providers only to generate replies, and we set training opt-out flags where they're available. See our Privacy Policy § 5 for the full data flow.

4. What the AI is NOT

To be very clear, the AI in Amorine is not:

• A real person — characters are fictional and have no real-world existence
• A therapist, counselor, or mental-health professional — Amorine is for entertainment, not treatment
• A medical professional, lawyer, financial advisor, or any other licensed expert — never act on AI advice in those domains
• A source of factual truth — the AI may confidently say wrong things ("hallucinations"); double-check anything important
• A romantic partner that can replace human relationships — AI companionship is fun but distinct from real intimacy

5. Limits

AI is impressive but imperfect. You may notice:

• Characters occasionally repeating themselves or losing track of subtle context across long conversations
• Replies that don't quite fit the character's stated personality (model "drift")
• Surprising or off-key responses, especially around sensitive topics
• The model refusing to discuss certain content categories (this is by design — our safety filters prevent harmful outputs)

If a reply feels broken, inappropriate, or off-character, please flag it using the in-app report button. We use these reports to improve safety and quality.

6. Your data and AI training

The short version (full details in our Privacy Policy § 5):

• Your conversations are sent to AI providers to generate replies
• We do not knowingly send your conversations to providers for training their models — we set opt-out flags where available
• Conversation history is stored in our database so characters can maintain context across sessions
• You can delete everything anytime via Settings → Account → Delete Account

7. Mature content and safety filters

Amorine is a dating sim for adults. Conversations and AI-generated images can include suggestive, sensual, or mature themes — that is the experience the app is designed to offer, and it's why we gate it to 18+. Our adult web platform goes further and may include sexually explicit content; by using it you confirm you are 18+ and consent to that content. See the Age Statement § Platform differences for what each platform allows and the Terms § 6 for the consent language you accept by signing up.

Across all platforms, we prohibit and filter the following at both the input and output layer:

• Explicit sexual content — the app stays in suggestive/sensual territory, not pornographic
• Sexual or suggestive content involving minors — absolutely prohibited; attempted prompts trigger immediate account action
• Non-consensual scenarios, sexual violence, or coercion
• Hate speech targeting protected classes
• Glorification of self-harm, suicide, or violence
• Content that could plausibly be illegal in major jurisdictions (e.g. CSAM, deepfake-style impersonation of real people)

Filters aren't perfect. If something slips through, flag it in-app — every report is reviewed and feeds back into our filter tuning and character safety profiles.

Other safeguards:

• In-app reporting for any reply or image you find inappropriate
• Block characters to remove them from your discover feed and chat list
• Account deletion removes your data within 30 days
• Age gate at onboarding (18+) and App Store rating (17+)
